I arrived at JHB airport on an international flight, and my bag was not on the baggage carousel, I went to the SAA bagage counter and was told my bag had not arrived in JHB and I should continue my journey to Durban and that my bag was on route to Durban as that's what the computer said. Even though I had said I would like to clear customs in JHB. I arrived in Durban and the bag did not! I reported it and they logged a query. I delt with Goodwill at the Durban SAA bagage counter and asked him to please phone me and give me feedback, needless to say I did all the phoning. I would phone Kgotso in JHB and then I would phone Goodwill in Durban and tell Goodwill what Kgotso had said, there was just no communication between them and they did not communicate ongoing feedback to me.If it had not been for me continually phoning and following up it would have probley taken a lot longer for my bag to be back with me. Arriving back from your travels and not having your possesions is a big inconvenience and with all todays technology it shouldn't happen. |
