I spoke to the SAA agent on the phone at reservation and indicated that I want to change my flights. He looked for availability and indicated that there were 2 seats available for us on the new flight time we requested. I then asked what the change in flights would cost us in TOTAL specifically in total. He then quoted me R1900.00. Which we accepted and I provided my bank cards CCV number and he said the change is confirmed and payment should go through shortly. He read me the new flight time, flight name, price and flight date again to confirm. They then phoned my husband back and indicated that the price they had quoted us was incorrect and that the change in total will actually cost us R2249.00. I was already on my way to the airport when they had called my husband,so I had no option but to accept the new price, even thou I had accepted the quotation previously. This is unacceptable and I am sure that this is in some way against the CPA. I would like a response from SAA as to why the price was changed after I had accepted a valid quotation. |
