| On the 16th of October I checked in two minutes too late for my flight. There was NO way the personel wanted to help me. I HAD to go on the next plane. Of course at a penalty of over R500! This was for flight SA 1105 to Kimberley at 15h50. The next plane was at 17:45. This plane was delayed a few times and eventually departed at 20:30! This was after we all got into the bus an hour later at 18:45, departed for the plane on the runway, and came back again because the plane "was not ready". How's that for communication? Is it necessary to take 40 passengers to a plane to find out if it is ready? But regarding the service: My irritation with SAX is: Why must I pay a penalty for being late (2 minutes), but they can be late more than two hours, and just get away with it? My irritation is also with the "powerplay" one experiences each time that you deal with ground personel. They always find fault with something, your weight, your suitcase size etc. VERY unhelpful, not answering questions, always (that's the feeling I get) trying to throw their weight around. If there was another domestic airline flying between places like Kimb and Oliver Tambo, SAX will never see me. | |||
