I flew from OR Tambo to Bloemfontein and back three times the last month, and all six flights were delayed, from 20 minutes to 2 hours. The reasons given were technical problems, staff that were late, to 2 people allocated the same seat. The latter resulted in one more passenger being on the plane. Surely this should not happen as this is a clear indication of a security bridge. One of my colleagues flew from OR Tambo to Bloemfontein last week. The flight was delayed because they couldn't close the door. Her flight back the afternoon was delayed by 4 hours because it was apparently impossible to fix the plane and another plane had to be hired to come and fetch them. A few months ago she was on one of your flights from Bloemfontein to OR Tambo, when one of the engines broke in flight, and they had to make an emergency landing at OR Tambo. I lodged this complaint to customer service and got the following response "Thank you for your enquiry to South African Express. You should expect a response from our Customer Service Team within the next 48 hours, excluding weekends". Guess what - it is now 6 days and still no response. I know you will not respond, but the public must know of it. |
