I, SM Lewis, represent the membersof ProfitNet SA, which runs in Pietermaritzburg but is co-ordinated by Professor Robert Taylor of the Leadersip Centre, University of KwaZulu-Natal. The programme was initiated as a partnership with Brighton University UK and funded by the British Council, with a pilot study in 2008. The results of the pilot study were GROSSLY exaggerated - partly because one of he researcher missed some of the interviews because he was off 'lunching' with hs girlfriend - and some of the members' feedback was omitted, feedback that was critical but constructive. On the basis of those glowing 'results', the directors obtained more funding from the British Council to continue the programme in 2009. We were promised allsorts of expertise, partnerships with UK companies etc. NONE of it happened. 15 000 British pounds were allocated to the 2009 Pietermaritzburg groups. We didn't see the benefit of a CENT of it. The project manager and facilitators were never paid, we were never given the venue, equipment or the expert speakers we were promised and we have seen ONE of the four directors ONCE since August 2008. Lies, deceit and evasion is all we've had. FRAUDS!
