Chicken Schnitzel purchased from the butchery - under the crumbs it looked like cardboard, smelled terrible and tasted worse. I returned it, cooked, together with my till slip and was told they needed the bar-codes on the cling-wrap wrapper that I should have dug out of the dustbin, because they need "proof". . . I do not dig in dustbins for anyone. The 12 Km round trip to return the awful stuff, the electricity and time spent cooking it ( and having to cook a second meal) and the drama of having no lunch for the family was inconvenient and expensive enough without being insulted. Something tells me I am not such a "smart shopper" after all! |
