On 17/01/2012 I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the 'small' PnP makes platters. Having looked a the ready-made platters that comes from the central kitchen, I expected to pay ?R250 for a meat snack platter and ?R150 for sandwich platter. When Cornel showed me their 'menu' ( 4 photo's with fine print pricing on an A4 in a plastic sleeve) I asked her to confirm: "So it will be R250 for a meat platter and R150 for the sandwiches?" to which she replied "ja mevrou". When I picked up the platter I was appalled to learn that the sandwich platter was also R250!!! She was adamant and showed me that was the price printed on the photo - unfortunately the pricing is printed over a dark spot on the photo and it is very difficult to see it clearly!! My question is: HOW DO YOU JUSTIFY PAYING THE SAME PRICE FOR A PLATE OF SANDWICHES (WITH PROCESSED CHEESE) AS FOR A PLATE OF MEAT SNACKS??? Surely that can not possibly be right.... |

Over the Moon:
Marilana from the store very kindly contacted me: apologised and offered a refund of the disputed R100. When going into the store I saw Cornel herself - we cleared the air and I know the store is looking at the pricing for the platters. Cornel even offered me a bunch of flowers and a bottle of wine!! I walked out a very happy and still loyal customer - one who will promote the store, staff and service!! BAIE DANKIE Cornel, Marilana and Johan. |
