Bad customer service

The concept of customers packing their own items in the express till is absolutely ludracis. You only have a few items and the teller will wait for you to pack your own items before calling the next customer, so why not pack the items for you. I spend a lot of money with Pick n Pay and for those days I top up veges, I use the expres till, only to be constanstly met with the attitude and smirk from the teller that management has told them to tell customers to pack items for themselves. What sort of customer service is that.
Also, it seems that the staff members are not properly trained. Incident, after incident, the tellers are discussing their personal business with the packing ladies. I am black and can understand what they are saying. They don't care. If they are not complaining about how they are overworked, they are complaining about something else. This has to stop. I think that they should greet and get on with their work, instead of chatting about their personal affairs. It happens all the time. TRAINING, TRAINING TRAINING.
