I put in a claim on a windscreen about 2 weeks back. Glassfit, came out to my work to change the windscreen. The actual time it took to remove the old windscreen and put in the new one was 30 mins, i thought that was great, but then the guys took 45 mins to an hour to put the rear view mirror back!!!. The " technicians" were busy pushing and shoving the unit back with a SCREWDRIVER!!! i asked them to stop becuse they are going to damage something but the response that i got from them is " dont worry, we fit them like this everyday" After stripping the entire unit they finally get the rear view mirror in. i didnt bother checking anything, i was just glad that they were far away from my car. after a day or so, i noticed that the rain sensor wasnt working.i called Glassfit, they sent a different guy to check it out for me and he said that the PC board was put upside down and damaged by the other technician...after a few more days glassfit maganger calls me to tell me that there is no way that they could have damaged the sensor. the best part is that my vehicle is under warrenty, but this is about principle. maybe it would be wise to self insure, after paying R80000 premium for this?? |
