Discrimination

I've just spoken to Outsurance, wanting life cover. I went through all the medical questions and my application was immediately declined once I stated that I had bipolar. Without asking if my bipolar was under control, managed with medication - just declined.

I feel that I have been discriminated against because of being honest about being diagnosed with Bipolar.

I'm so sorry about the disappointing outcome. I have not been able to reach you telephonically and sent my details to you via e-mail.

In order to look into the matter, I will need your facility or quote detail, which I have not been able to trace on the detail supplied.

I'll really appreciate if you could respond on my mail upon which I'll refer the matter to our Underwriting department for urgent assistance.

Utterly Disgusted: I got a call and was advised that instead of being told I was rejected because of being Bipolar I should have been told that my application was deferred.

I have in the meantime been able to get insurance with my Bipolar from 1lifedirect insurance as they asked questions like was I on medication and was it under control.
