| i phoned in on the 10th of January (i think) to update my address as i moved house. i do not recall who i spoke to, but she seemed to understand that i had moved and needed to update my address. i explained to her that my premium should go down as i moved from Parklands (high risk area) and parked my car outside on the street and moved to Melkbosstrand (lower risk area), into a security complex with 24 hour security and my car will be parked in a locked garage. she quoted me a premium of R398, which means it was lower. i was happy. end of the month my premium goes off and it is higher than before, only R9, but higher. i phone in to find out that she didn't update my home address, just my parking address, so in other words according to what she understood i live in Parklands, but park my car 10km's away every night in Melkbosstrand. i phoned in on 3 Feb and was told that they will get back to me, i'm still waiting for somebody to call me back and backdate my lower premium to get a pro-rata refund. think ive been with Outsurance for on/off about 5 years. | |||

Hello carlyno, The oversight while amending your address details naturally caused you great concern. We sincerely apologise for the error which fundamentally gave rise to the premium increase! | Quite Impressed: Outsurance phoned me and backdated my address change and gave me a better discount which I appreciate as compensation. I am just waiting on a call with regards to my pro-rata refund for the almost 2 months I paid the full/higher premium. thank you. | |||
