| My geyser has burst and a claim was submitted to Outsurance. The contractor was send out to replace the geyser which he did. Contractor causes damage to the ceilings in the bathroom aswell as in the kitchen. Contractor indicated that the insurance will send someone to come and fix this damages. The contractor claimed the excess from me which I refuse to hand over because I wanted the damages to be fixed first. The insurance contacted me and this was reported to them. They said that I was suppossed to hand the contractor the excess before they could started the work and that I was wrong in this regard. The damages was reported to them and they promissed that someone will be send out to fix this. It is now 3 months later and nothing has been done to the damages caused by the contractor | |||

Hello Christo van Eck, We apologize for the manner in which you have been assisted and agree the service rendered to you is truly not warranted. Your concerns were referred to a Claims Manager, Funeka Ngewu, who contacted and apologized for the service. Funeka agrees fully with you, the claim should have been handled far better and has assured you that recourse will be provided. As discussed, please allow us the opportunity to rectify the situation. | Quite Impressed: The next day after my complaint was submitted a manager of Outsurance called me back whereby I had to explain the whole situation all over again, but I did not mind doing so. Ever since I was kept up to date on the progress of solving my problem but still waiting for it to be solved although I think that the matter will be attended to. | |||
