We decided to go for lunch at Kolonnade Ocean Basket. When we arrived the manager (or owner, don't know) welcomed us and seated us. When he brought the menus we asked for the menu of Delano's opposite as they keep a copy so that customers can order from them too. The manager then told us that we can if we move to a smaller table as they are expecting a lot of customers during the lunch rush. We moved to a smaller table...no problem. We ordered our food, everything from ocean baskets menu and nothing from Delano's. As we waited for our food (which was worth more than R300 for two people) another manager arrived and requested to move us to an other table in the corner as they need our table for a larger group. So we moved again. We called our waiter, Melissa (her service was great, thank you Melissa), and we asked that she cancel our order and bring us the bill for the drinks we had. The manager (or owner, we don't know) came to us and asked us if we are upset about the "musical chairs". We replied yes and he turned around saying "okay cool" and walked away. We paid and left. Really bad attitude from the managers. Thank you for the waiters. |
