Complaint

We tried to lodge this complaint on the Ocean Basket website, but it is not working...

This is unfortunately a complaint about the service at the Waverley Ocean Basket on 27 January 2012. Over and above the fact that we were asked to get out of the way when we arrived, our drink order was delayed and then forgotten, the main problem was the food.

I ordered the Platter for One which included a piece of hake, but it was severely under cooked to the point that it was raw. I complained to our waitress who said that she took it to the manager. The manager never came out to apologise or to make sure that we were ok. The only apology we got was on the bill which said "Jammer vir die rou vis" (sorry for the raw fish). The word fish was a picture of a fish.

Although we normally enjoy our trips to Ocean Basket, this was unacceptable. Not only should the manager have come out his or herself, but the raw fish poses serious health risks to customers.

We still have the original bill if Ocean Basket wishes to follow up with this complaint.
