In December 2011 a group of 15 of us went to the Ocean Basket in Hout Bay. We know Ocean Basket franchises to be of good service and serve good food. We merely entered the restaurant and was told that "we could not be served, as they were short staffed". In a very rude and abrupt manner. As we were leaving i noticed patrons leaving, hence they had finished their meals. So why couldn't those waiters serve us? And the restaurant was still quite busy. So we began to wonder, and thencame to a conclusion that the guy was ****** or that he just didn't like INDIANS. We then decided to go across the road to a Portugese restaurant, where we found the food and service to be excellent. I would go back again and again to this restaurant. Their peri-peri baby chicken was absolutely divine. I would recommend anybody looking for good food and service to go there. On the other hand i wouldn't recommend anybody going to Ocean Basket Hout Bay. If you dont want to be dissapointed. |
