Early December 2010, I received a new NokiaE5. I experienced audio problems from the start.This "new" device was booked in for repairs on 10/12/2010.The repaired phone did not last long as I experienced the same problem within a few days- the phone went in for repairs on 31/12/2010. This time it lasted till 23/07/2011 when the same problem occurred.This problem went on and on- the phone was rebooked several times (4/8/2011, 31/8/2011 and 16/9/2011) Nokia replaced the phone with a refurbished one (16/9/2011). The refurbished device lasted 24 hours as the screen went blank/white and refused to switch on. I experienced extreme inconvenience as a property professional. My preferred outcome- indicated on the customer questionare was for Nokia to replace the phone with a new/sealed unit. Needless to say that my request was ignored.The last device which lasted for 24 hours was exchanged by another refurbished one.The comments received from Vodacare, Centurion Mall are as follow: "We cannot exchange your handset with a sealed unit as Nokia does not supply sealed units within the warranty repair process". I expect Nokia to replace my phone with a new device as it was faulty from the start. |
