R5500 for a button that don't work!!!!

In the past 6 months I took my Nissan Tiida 1600 for a service at these two branches. I ask them both to check the aircon's on/off switch button, becaus it does not work properly. The quote to rectify the problem was: a new console of R5500. Is this what I should pay for a button that does not work properly? I don't think so! Because I still can use the button - it just take some nifty pressure to get the right spot! And then it works or turns off.

CUSTOMER'S FEEDBACK HelloSamuel Time and Date 22:45:48 | Fri 9 Dec 11
Quite Impressed: Around 11am Nissan SA phoned to get "more detail" about my problem. My quiery will be handed to the Parts department. It was hard to get hold of me (on the road to Knysna on Tuesday and in the Knysna-woods on Wednesday). Thursday they left a message that Highveld Nissan would contact me, which they did. The price was considerabily dropped to R2001. Is that a fair price that Nissan wants me to pay for a aircon button [approx. 15mmx10mm] (as a part of a "whole console") that is not working proper?
