| HEADLINE | Choc Companies are ripping off Chocolate Eaters |
||
| Ever wondered why big packets of chips shrunk without you noticing? its right under your nose. Look at what is happening at the chocolate companies. I first, by chance, picked up a nestle slab and beacon slab and noticed a difference - the weight. so i looked at the grams and there was beacon boldly saying 100g. you had to unfold the Nestle slab to see 80g. I looked at Cadbury - 100g. Then they kept on having specials. Beacon was R5,99 - Cadbury was R7,99 and Nestle (for their sneaky 80g) R8,99. Then beacon specials went up and down for a year or so - R4, 99 - R7, 99. Recently it has seemed to stay at Cadburys price. I think R8,99 now. Then my suspicions were confirmed - Cadbury & Beacon also quietly introduce 80g. same price as 100g slab were. Lets face it - if they were inc grams they would have bells & whistles for the extra grams. So this is how we watch value for money drop. Same money or more for a calculated reduction of grams. What is also obvious is that it isn't just about specials - explain the lighter choc slab. Go to facebook jacquiosz and find my group and like if you agree. | |||
