| HEADLINE | 13% interest rate better than FNB on personal loan |

In December I needed some extra cash so I decided to go for personal loan and the first bank to come to my mind was FNB because that is where my salary goes to. 0n the 28th Dec my loan was approved by FNB at 24% interest. I was not happy at all and I made sure that on my return to JHB from home in Eastern Cape I will shop around to see if I won't get a better rate some where else. Nedbank was the first bank that I went to and I could not believe, they approved the loan in 3 days @ 11% interest rate. I repayed my FNB load immediately. I am now shoping around for the bank that can offer the same pricing as FNB or better. FNB has shown me my risk profile is more than twice compared to Nedbank. NB: I don't have interests whatsoever at Nedbank but I would like everyone to know about this big gap between the two banks on personal loan. I am a premium banker with FNB. |
