We have been trying for 5 months now to close one of our banking accounts with no luck - in the meantime bank costs have been charged, debit orders have been written back and additional costs for these have been charged. We went into the bank, filled in the necessary forms with a chap named Jacques, first time he said that there has been some or other misunderstanding, second time nothing happened and I phoned, spoke to Cheryl - she was very helpful and promised that everything will be resolved and we do not have to worry as our bank costs etc. will be reversed etc. etc. she phoned again and explained that this will take some time, but that we needn't worry as they are busy with it and the account will be closed. This has all happened in last year, starting September. I phoned her yesterday as the account is still not closed and we have now received a letter from the bank suggesting that we manage our account better (it has been lying in a -R85.00 state for awhile) because I am tired of trying to keep up with cross transferring funds to keep this account at a zero balance for closure. Please help as I am now at my wits end and do not know where to go from here. Regards, Antoinette |
