I've just received a call from NM Upgrades regarding the refusal of NM to approve an upgrade for which I am due (as at 1 Jan). This is in relation to two payments that were returned (but quickly paid) over the festive season. Honest mistakes meant that money in was not moved over timeously. When I called NM at the beginning of January, the upgrades clerk checked with his manager at the time and the upgrade was subsequently approved. I was then sent information wrt the upgrade that I had in mind. I really wasn't expecting to have a further call today telling me that actually, sorry, it's not approved. What is happening at NM? I am so irritated and annoyed by NM's policies towards long-standing customers, of more than a decade and their manner of doling out 'punishment' (no upgrade for 3 mos). I thought that customer loyalty counted for something - it certainly does in my business! This 'small-mindedness' isn't warranted in the competitive environment in which cellular providers operate. I have given notice of my intention to port my number and move my account at the end of the contract. I will also not be moving my partner's account to NM in May as I'd intended. So long NM! |
