My DSTV decoder was faulty. When I called the helpdesk, they told me that it is not the decoder, but the satellite signal. I paid for an installer to come out to my place, only to discover that the signal is 100%! It's the decoder. Then I had to drive to the Multichoice centre and have the decoder replaced. This was Monday 30 January 2012. Today is Friday 3 February. The decoder is faulty AGAIN!!! I've called the helpdesk and they could not help me!!! Now I have to drive to the Multichoice centre again. This is my second time this week! I feel that Multichoice is a monopoly that is manipulating it's clients. They are wasting my time and money. I have never missed a payment, yet I get shoddy service. I fact HORRIBLE service. |

We tried to call you at# 10:19:11am to no avail. The cause of a technical fault can range from anywhere between a temporary signal loss, or as a software, hardware or installation error(s). In instances whereby our contact centre is unable to assist you recover the DStv service, we recommend that the relevant hardware is brought into your nearest DStv branch or agency for a test prior to calling out a MultiChoice accredited installer to ensure the error is not hardware or software related.
