I've been a client of MTN's for 10 years now and have had roaming for a similar time. I've never experienced problems with it until this past Dec/Jan when I travelled to Thailand / Singapore and it didn't work. I phoned MTN and asked for assistance but I had no luck as the operator said that the roaming is active and there is nothing he can do. The line dropped and I had to phone back at which time I got to speak to another operator who didn't know any better. He told me that Thailand has no roaming partners!!! I had to convince him that it's impossible as I was looking at the page off MTN's website which clearly stated that they have 3 roaming partners namely AIS, DTAC and True move. He also couldn't help me and the line dropped again before I could speak to someone else. I tried to fix the problem myself by swapping Sim cards with a friend who is with vodacom and has an iPhone too. His Sim worked in my phone but mine still didn't work in his. So it's not a problem with the phone. Can somebody help with this as the operators are clearly not trained and I'm travelling to the USA and Europe soon? |

| Quite Impressed: A MTN representative phoned me over a week ago and told me that they are working on the problem and that a technician would be contacting me. I'm still waiting. | |||
