| "******" of the excuse that I subscribed to a service (i have until now NEVER heard of MIRA Network. I (***** that I am) renewed my contract with MTN on 16 December 2011 and in January 2012 on my bill there appears R49 "Content Charge". Their argument is: I subscribed for "Sexy Content" by "Market By Brand" (a new service added to Mira) and am liable for the amount. After contacting MIRA I was told that "my query would be escalated" to Market by brand to provide the details of When I joined and What content I received. I DID NO SUCH THING!! Now MTN and MIRA and MARKET BY BRAND Prove your claim or Hello Peter is just my starting point. Fair Warning given I assure you!!! Industry regulator here I come!!! If MTN is taking away Airtime from me How is the Vendor getting paid? No one at MIRA can explain this. So I conclude that these third party vendors are nothing more than a front (in the absence of a clear response i reached a conclusion) for us to be ripped off. MTN pleze don't give your stock response whilst another MTN customer is facing the same problem. I authorised MTN to debit my account nobody else! Is there no confirming sms/email required from the vendor? Why MTN WHY? | |||

Hello cyber dude, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes. A cancellation and refund request has been submitted on your behalf to the relevant Content Provider. Unfortunately, this registration is completely voluntary. Also note that we do not have agreements with these companies as the billing solely gets traced back to the fact that you have registered for the service with your MTN number. | Indifferent: Indifferent cos the money trail still does not add up. as at today 03 Feb Mira confirmed my account with Market by Brand is R672,00 and the Scottish guy who called me (language barrier for me: I kanna understand a wooord) now I must provide my banking details to a company I have "no good faith in" really. Oh yes Veronica I have tried the "more information story" Thanks Anyway. These issues make for defections or worse. | |||
