SE X10 Complaint

I have been a loyal MTN customer for 6-8 years , I have had a SE X10 on contract from MTN for about a year now. In this year the phone has been in for repairs 4 times as it reboots by itself, has a strange smell in the batttery area, switches off and the software does not work properly. It also recently froze on a update and switched off, upon switching it on it used R295 of my airtime. I took my phone in and told the service agent that I would like a replacement as this is the 4th repair on the phone and that the phone has spent more time at MTN than with me. I was told that they will liaise with Sony and let me know. Needless to say the handset was not replaced and no airtime refunded and per all the previous repairs only a software upgrade was done. I have had 4 software upgardes from MTN and I also did the upgrades required when the software became available. The handset is insured but to no avail. The phone is starting the same problem again and to be honest I do not see the point of even going to MTN. I am even considering not renewing my contract with them and have at a point considered cancelling the contact.

Quite Impressed: MTN responded quickly and assisted me with my complaint in a very professional matter. I am still in the process of sorting out the problem but appreciate the good service I have received from MTN.
