| My sister took out an MTN 3G contract 2 months ago and has had endless problems with it since. Besides the usual billing confusion, the actual 3G card has not worked and seems to have "died" completely this week. In the first week of taking out the contract she took the card back to MTN only for them to take it in for "repairs" - no substitute was given nor set time frame for the return thereof. Upon eventual return of the card, it seems that the problem is worse to the point that it has ceased working completely. Numerous calls and visits to the various MTN help centres were to no avail. As you can see, I am posting this complaint on her behalf as she has absolutely no internet access. This is worse than imaginable as, being a doctor, she needs online access which isn't provided by Government Hospitals. So she is paying for a contract that she is not benefitting from - I am sure that the recent Consumer Protection Act specifically prohibits this sort of thing? For now she just needs the 3G to work!!! | |||
