We have applied for a Mtn contract and chose the option CURRENTLY on offer - APPLE IPHONE 4S 16GB, R499 PMX24 ON MTN ANYTIME 200. The application was made beginning of January this year. Yesterday we received an sms from the Vanderbijlpark outlet that they do not have 4S in stock and won't get in stock. First I phoned the Vanderbijlpark outlet who told me that they are Mtn agents but not Mtn direct and they as agents will not receive any new 4S in stock. I phoned Mtn headoffice and was referred to another Mtn direct outlet. After explaining my problem the lady informed me that where we handed in the application - they must source an 4S from other branches. Today I phoned the presumably owner company of the Vanderbijlpark branch - ALFA GRANITE CELLULAR in Klerksdorp and was explained again the difference between an agency and a direct outlet with/from Mtn. As explained they are an agency and they being an agency where given a quantity of those phones and that's it. Now they are out of stock and will not get any new 4S stock in. Iam asking; 1) Why are the public being misled to think if you walk into an Mtn shop you think its from Mtn and expect the service as advertised? 2).. |

| Quite Impressed: Said Farouk from MTN phoned me on monday morning regarding the problem and I am satisfied with the progress that's being made. The application at Riverside MTN Vanderbijlpark has been cancelled and MTN has handled the re application, today it was approved and the cell phone should be received within 7 days. Thank you for your speedy feedback - it most certainly is appreciated. | |||
