| I have been contacted by MBD INC as I supposedly have an outstanding amount of over R900 on an MTN contract from 2005. This account initially was for an id number similar to mine though the last 3 digits differed. Thas since been changed to my own ID and now I am going to be handed over as this payment is still overdue. I believe this is not my account and have requested on numerous occasions for proof so that this matter can be resolved. I still await any document with my signature and ID attached, though am being threatened by legal action if this account has not been paid by this weekend. Unbelievable! (surely this debt has also lapsed as this matter is 7 years old, regardless of it being my account or not) I have not received any communication from MTN in the last 7 years until I had been handed over for debt counselling on this account. Surely this is not how we deal with matters, especially in this economic climate. This is incredibly insensitive. | |||
