i went into Mr Price home on 17 Jan 2012, I bought 2 Africa -art pieces. The prices on the piece I first saw was R12.99, reduced from R29.99. I then asked one staff member to get me another piece which was on the upper shelf. When I got to the till the teller said is was R99.99 each, I then showed her & her other colleague, who happened to be the store manager what was printed on the tag. The manager said it was a printing error cos the price tags overlapped. I then said that's not my mistake, based on Consumer Proctection act, the price I see is the price I pay. The manager said she doesn't care what I saw, the correct price is the scanned one & she won't give it to me for R12,99.Another staff member joined the argument & started shouting, showing me how the error could have happened...but I said that's not my problem, you could have hidden the price that's not applicable, before I saw it as a customer. The manager didn't even apologies for the printing error which she admitted to, she was rude & very unprofessional. I wanted to call Mr Price customer care, infortunetly the number is not printed on the receipt. My next step is to approach Comissioner for Consumer Protection |

Hello peggym, We humbly ask that you accept our apologies for the manner in which your queries were handled at our Lynnrdge Mall store. The issue will be investigated by the Area Manager for the store and you will receive personal feedback shortly. | Quite Impressed: the Regional manager sincerely apologized. He said the store Manager will gladly refund me. I was surprised when I noticed that the store manager was actually the lady who was chatting with another staff member nearby when I had an argument with Buang, and never intervened. She could have saved me 30km driving back to the store by just intervening on the day. Buang Mbuli should know that customers know their rights & should guard against tainting Mr Price's image,CRM course recommended for her | |||
