On about 5 November 2011 I must have accidentally opened an email or SMS or something and somehow inadvertently subscribed to Mobmatics. I only noticed this on 19 January when I received my Nashua account. An approximate total amount of R473 excl. VAT at R7.00 including VAT per day had been debited. I complained to Nashua on 20 January and Senzo (Nashua Boksburg 011 918 7582) phoned Mobmatics to discuss. The subsciption was cancelled forthwih. On 20 January I received an SMS from Mobmatics confirming the unsuscription. On 22 January I sent an email (Copy to Senzo) asking for a full refund of unauthorised deductions. On 30 January I received notification "we see no grounds for a refund..." My concern is that something like this could happen to anyone and it could be R50 or R500 per day or more and could run for 40days before being noticed. I still don't know what benefits, if any, Mobmatics offers for the subsciption.The unsuspecting public is entitled to protection from this type of practice. I am not and never have been knowingly subcribed to Mobmatic I still believe I am entitled to a full refund. Kind Regards Stan hitchcock |
