Batteries cannot be replaced, product outdated

Since original fitment numerous problems have been experienced with the Matrix unit and in all instances the problem had to be escalated to higher levels to get it resolved. On 2 occasions vehicle had to be returned after service. Cussrently a unit that was replaced a couple of months ago and now has a flat battery - told by support desk that I must replace the unit (sign a new more expensive 24 month contract) because they cannot replace the batteries in the old unit. In the light of the history of very poor service from Matrix I will now rather look at other companies that provide a similar service.
