Unreasonable Service

Approximately 6 to 7 weeks ago, I purchased a part from Mercedes Benz East Rand Boksburg. I was placed under the impression that the noise that was coming from my under my car was a flexible joint disc and that I could install it myself. During the holiday season, I commenced to install the said part only to find that the noise I had heard was not from the flexible joint disc but the hand brake cable that was lying on top of the prop shaft as the bracket that holds the handbrake cable in place was broken. Believing that I will never have to use this part and in good faith I decided to return the part (still sealed) to the dealership where I purchased it. The parts manager informed me that I have had the part to long and that he cannot take it back. This ridiculous reason has only confirmed the fact as to why I don't want to use this dealership as I have had problems with their workshop staff in the past. From now on, I will rather travel 218 kms to New Vaal Motors in Vereeniging and back home, as their service is excellent.
