| HEADLINE | REFUSING TO EXTEND MOTORPLAN |
||
|
I Recently bought a 2006 Merc slk 350 with 36000 km on , i phoned mercedes beforehand , asking if the motorplan could be extended. the answer was yes and they quoted me on extending the motorplan for 2 years or 120 000 km. The motor plan is still active on the vehicle , but after taking the vehicle to Mercedes for an Inspection and trying to load the extension they told me they cannot extend the motorplan. Apperently the vehicle was manufactured in 2005 and sold in feb 2006. SOOOOOO , because the veicle was manufactured the previous year , the system cannot allow the motorplan to be extended , although it is still valid. Merceds never discloses to customers that the motor plan then needs to be extended some months before expiring , otherwise last minute exstentions will not be available. As a client it is not my problem when the vehicle was manufactured , the motor plan should be from when it is sold , and should be renewable to the last day before expiry. So do all Merc Owners buying a car registered in the new year but manufactured the previous year , suffer the consiquences ? It's unfair , it should go on selling date and until the plan expires !!! What happens now? |
