Professional negligence and bald-faced **** |

Hi, my Mercedes was booked in for a broken rear light at Mercedes-Benz' branch in Rustenburg, Maemo Motors. The quote for the light came to more or less R7000 and I decided to get another quote. I asked them to either please drop the car off with me, or come pick me up so that I can fetch it myself, since I'm a doctor at a provincial hospital and have very little free time, if any, at my disposal. They had the insolence to brusquely reply that there was no one available to do this. Talk about shocking customer service (or, more accurately, the complete and utter lack thereof). To add insult to injury, the next day there was a massive hailstorm, I promptly phoned them to make sure that my car was parked undercover and they assured me that this was the case. The car was riddled with dents. They had blatantly lied to my face! Even upon discovering the dents not so much as an excuse was extended (The damage came to R15-20 000, as per the quotes from the panel-beaters). I was stunned - surely such deplorable service and nefarious conduct is what one expects from a dodgy 2nd hand car dealer and not a company of Mercedes-Benz' stature? Their reputation is forever tarnished in my eyes.
