| HEADLINE | B Class Headlight Covers melting |
||
| I Bought a MB B200 CDI in July 2011. It has 19000 kms on the clock. The car has a "daylight" setting and since I buy MB vehicles for the last 12 years because of it's safety features, it goes without saying that I prefer to have the "daylight" setting activated. I noticed recently that the headlight covers are starting to melt right in the centre. I reported this to Mc Carthy Fountains who took it up with MBSA since they believe it should be covered under the vehicle's warranty. To my shock I just received feedback from MBSA concluding that, after escalating it to MB Germany, it is not a "design" fault and will therefore not be covered under the warranty. They can however also not say how I can prevent this from happening. Although the "daylight" safety feature is available on the the B Class, it seems it cannot be used without causing damage to your vehicle. | |||
