So called Investigation

I phoned Medihelp on the 19th of January 2012 asking for a authorisation number to go see the Gynie. They explained to me that because I have only been on the medical aid for 7 months they first have to do a investigation. Ok, so you do that. I don't really understand why, but do that. I asked the lady I spoke to if she can please explain to me how long this will more or less take seeing that I already had an appointment with the Gynie the following day. She said that she does not know, but I will have to pay the Gynie myself and then claim the money back from Medihelp. There is no way I am going that route seeing that I know it will take them months before they will pay me back.
So today, which is already the 25th, I phone them again asking how far they are with this investigation. And believe it or not, they still have not even started with the process. I mean seriously????
If I do not hear from them as soon as tomorrow I WILL lodge a formal complaint!! I honestly had enough of Medihelp and the people in the call centre who cant give you any proper information!!
