| My 21 year old son is a member of medihelp necesse. He works at a Pilot Instructor in Durban and when he fell and broke a bone in his wrist recently he did what he thought best and went to the closest hospital for x rays. Subsequently he was seen by an Orthopaedic Surgeon who operated on his wrist and after the operation my son received occupational therapy to enable him to resume his job as he is not paid if he doesnt fly. We paid cash for the occupational therapy as well as the visits to the OS. Now Medihelp is not paying for things and it is all so totally confusing and time consuming to my son as to why he was not covered and what is going on. Could someone please explain to him what is happening and why he is not covered. He earns R1 200 pm and now is facing all these unpaid bills - it is overwhelming for him. | |||

Hello traceyroux, As telephonically discussed on 26 January 2012, Medihelp confirmed that in order for the Scheme to consider benefits on the services rendered to your son, the Scheme requires a radiology report. Therefore, the matter will only be dealt with, upon receipt of the requested information.
