| I would like to know if the co-payments for chronic medicine has increased for 2012. I went to buy chronic medicine for Hypertension i.e. Prexum plus and Adalat 30mg and was charged co-payment of R227.00 and Medihelp paid less than R200.00. what's going on? | |||

Hello BelindahL, As telephonically discussed on 24 January 2012, a co-payment was applied to your claim for medicine because the prescribed medicine is not listed on Medihelp's medicine formulary. To avoid co-payments in the future, please ensure that your doctor prescribes medicine that is listed on Medihelp's formulary. The formulary is available on Medihelp's website and we also sent you a copy for ease of reference.
