| I applied for medical aid costing +-500 a month and got one who costs 822m as soon as I got the documents I canceled the medical aid as I wouldn't afford that much. The amount was debited from my bank account I sent an email was told to fax cancelation laters I did but the money was debited again the second month. After the third months deductions on the forth month I reversed the payment and the fifth month now I get threatining SMS to say I owe 1600 and od rands infact I'm the one whose being owed as I canceled when I received the documents and that wasn't done. | |||

Hello khunong, As telephonically discussed on 23 January 2012, Medihelp confirmed that we are unable to find any trace of the e-mails sent to the Scheme to notify us of your termination of membership. It was then requested that you confirm the fax number from which the facsimile in respect of your termination of membership was sent. Since the facsimile was sent from a public fax number, you were not able to confirm the fax number from which the facsimile was sent nor were you able to provide Medihelp with the necessary proof that the e-mail and facsimile was delivered successfully to the Scheme. Your membership was therefore correctly terminated on 31 December 2011 and the subscriptions were payable by you for the period 1 August 2011 until 31 December 2011. Medihelp would also like to request that you contact DirectAxis directly, in case of any dispute with regards to the advice received from your broker, Mr Poggenpoel, as Medihelp cannot act as an arbitrator or get involved in any dispute that may arise between two parties. So now I’m told that you were unable to get hold of me but i got this mail from you guys Dear Miss Sekwati, I aknowledge receipt of your e-mail below and is investigating the matter. You will receive feedback in due course. Sandra du Plessis I guess now im gonna be told that my cancelation was not received and im liable for payment..how nice... |
