After numerous telephone calls and getting the surgeon involved to write a motivation for my son's operation, Medihelp will still not authorize his hospitalization treatment. They assume it to be cosmetic and have told me that if the surgeon agrees to perform it in his rooms they'll cover something of it! How barbaric and bizarre - we are subscribed to a Hospital Plan! My son, aged 8, needs to have this done under full anaesthetic and it's certainly not cosmetic. Without this operation he won't ever get his adult teeth - look it up it's called supernumerary teeth, they don't even have a code for it and presume it's for impacted teeth. Denis's call center in collaboration with Medihelp have been insufficient in dealing with this request, seeking help with Medihelp has been useless - referring me back to Denis. Duh!? they aren't helping me! On their website where it is stated what the plan excludes - no mention is made of terms that they are now using to their advantage, he has to be over 5 years old etc. [URL removed] /> It's a ****! |

Since making a complaint yesterday I was contacted by Siddeeq from Denis Customer Care. So problem sorted! Siddeeq I don't know what you did but THANKS. Some or other panel has re-evaluated my request and authorization has been approved. Albeit with co-payments and conditions. Yay Siddeeq for CEO :) |
