| After thinking maybe the new Lynnwood branch is now the place to go to get my Hilux sorted out (after they did manage to fix my other hilux) I took my 4x4 hilux 3l D-4D to them to get serviced and have some issues resolved. They did replace the leaking radiator after a week's internal struggle to get approval, but my other 2 problems with fuel consumption and a nasty niose on the RF wheel was not fixed. To top that off when I got home and looked under the car I noticed the sump guard was missing! So I phoned, complained and took it back after which.... they cleaned the cv boot and apparently re-seated the airflow sensor connector and gave me back the rest of the car. Needless to say after driving 20km the noise was back and after a tank of diesel fuel consumption went down even more. When McCarthy call center called I obviously stated not happy. So for a THIRD time back it went for another day. This time I was told they bent a control arm, problem solved on the noise, oh and on the bad consumption they "found nothing wrong on the computer". 7km/l on a D-4D with 90kkm where it should be doing 9-10km/l in town? Got home, noise on wheel back and still guzzling diesel down to 6.8 now | |||
