I booked a service with Lindsay Saker in Krugersdorp and i informed them that the brakes on my vehicle is faulty and needs to be replaced. The vehicle has a maintenance plan and I expected that they will replace my break pads as well as service the vehicle. When i received the vehicle after they had done the service i enquired about the breaks. The person that i spoke to on the phone informed me that the mechanic got into my vehicle and drove it around. The mechanic reported that the brake pads are not faulty after driving the vehicle and therefore felt that there was no reason to replace the brake pads. I am not a mechanic but i know that when you inspect the brake pads of a vehicle, you need to at least remove the wheels and physically check if the brake pads are worn out or not. I don't think that they ever physically inspected the brake pads because when i drive the vehicle and brake I can hear a loud methal on methal sound that, from my person experience with cars would indicate that the brake pads are worn out. |
