Giving My Car Back Broken

This is absolutely unacceptable.
I took my car for a service that's on a service plan (13th January 2012 at 07:05 the morning, there was nothing wrong with my car just a normal year service. They called me back and said the service is free but the brake pads needs to be changed and said it is going to cost R1200, then i said no thanx i will do it myself, thats the only thing they said was faulty.
They service the car and i picked up the car at 15:30 the same day.
When i arrived at volkswagen and collect my kar it would'nt want to start, they say ok lets jumpstart the car for you. (Then something wasn't wright at the moment).
I drove home and parked my car the next morning it would'nt want to start again. and suddenly abs and power steering and hand break light are on and power steering didn't want to work then and now.
I took it back to VW and they checked. Now I have to pay R1200 and something. My car was fine when i gave it to them now i get i back and its broken. They didn't tell me in the checklist that there is something wrong with it. So i am not going to pay for a new battery, they will fix my car as it was as i given to them in a working condition.
