Dear Sir I would like to complain about the recent lack of service from Kia, Tokai, Cape Town. I have a 2010 Kia Sportage (two wheel drive), bought in December 2010, which last week experienced an electrical fault in the breaking, downhill assist, traction control mechanism. The lights for these functions has been coming on for the past 3 weeks, but I had been able to drive the vehicle, although getting it into drive (automatic transmission) had been difficult. Anyway I phoned Kia Tokai on Thursday , (at approximately 8.30 am), and spoke to Geoff explaining that the car was stuck in my garage and I could not get it into drive. This vehicle is still under warranty and I have the taken out the extra service maintenance agreement. A tow truck was sent out to pick me up from my place of work, the driver managed to get my car out of the garage and hook it up onto the towing venhicle. The service from him was excellent (Rondebosch Breakdown Service). I never received a call from Kia to say what the actual problem, was ,was not offered a courtesy car and not told when I could get the vehicle back. I am still waiting for them to let me know.
