| Leased home from Just Letting for R8000 pm. All payments on time 1 month in advance. After I have signed the lease contract they added additional municipal fees and a deposit that I must pay. I did not agree to this. The reported me to TPN and got me blacklisted for this. Statement on 11 Nov said that I had pay all municipal fees to date = R2089.82 and an additional R2314.74. I moved our t of house end Nov since the landlord sent real estate agents to the house on Sundays without prior notification to me. Not all reported required repairs were done on house as well. Just letting wants me to pay for the December rent even though I was not occupying the house. According to me they can subtract the additional monies I paid which were not pat of the contract I signed and I will pay the remainder: R3595.44 as rent outstanding for December. However they sent me a payment reminder on 22 December for the amount of R22 662.19 without information what for. They are operating illegal and someone needs to look at their business ethics. An estate agent should protect the interest of both the landlord and the tenants. Now I understand how so many tenants turn out bad. | |||
