As new landlord's on a property where the existing landlord / tenant were dealing with Just Letting - the tenant had claimed to have informed them of his decision to vacate in September 2011. Not only did Just Letting not inform us of this, thus prejudicing us of being able to market the place for new tenants, they deducted their monthly commission before paying us the rent. Email after email had been sent to them to find out what is going on with the tenant - no response. Eventually they tell us, in December, the tenant has left and and that they cannot refund the deposit because it belongs to the tenant. Now we are stuck with no tenant, and having to service the bond. We have still not been handed the keys or been contacted regarding an apparent damage made by the tenant - this despite paying them a commission. No response from customer service. It baffles me as to how a reputable firm like Just Letting, can risk tarnishing its reputation, over a day to day function of a required service to both tenant and Landlord - they fail to realise that we have paid them a monthly fee for November and have derived no service from that, but have instead incurred a loss. Not right! |

| Utterly Disgusted: Just Letting has only deposited R2,000 of the R4,500 owed to me plus interest. They do not seem to realise that the customer and themselves have breached the contract by no informing us of his decision to leave. This money belongs to us. We have also still not received the keys for the apartment - been a month now. | |||
