So after a long drive home from George my friends and I decided to have a decent sit down meal after being on the road for a few hours. We decided on John Dory's Waterstone Village in Somerset West. We get to our table, (untidy) the waiter comes and rudely tells us to lift our menus so he can clean. He takes our drinks & Sushi orders we also ask him to bring the "colour in" book for the kid. 30mins later he comes with the drinks (some of it wrong after clear instructions were given), he spills the one drink beside me on the table and starts cursing.15minutes later our sushi arrives & still awaiting "colour in" book for the child. He comes to get the main course order we remind him that we are still awaiting the "colour in" book for the child. 45mins on and we are still waiting for our food and "colour in" book. By this time we are all impatient and hungry so we decide to have a word with the manager who said the food will be out soon, another 15minutes later we again had to remind them that we are still waiting for food. By this time I left and got something else to eat. After confronting the manager of poor service she apologized and gave us a percentage off the bill.

Thank you for sharing your unhappy visit at John Dory's with us. We are disappointed to hear about the lack of service and that given the opportunity, they still did not get it right.

Please allow us to investigate directly with the owner/operator so that we are in a better position to provide you with feedback. Please accept our sincere apologies as this is not the John Dory's standard and after a long drive, it is understanable that you were wanting to relax and be taken care of.
