      <title>Planet Fitness - Breach of Contract - Planet Fitness blatant lies to sell membership</title>

<![CDATA[We visited Planet fitness in January 2012  and was taken on a tour by a consultant,  Ettienne. I was interested in playing squash and my wife told him that she would like to do aquarobics seeing that she had a serious back injury and was limited to certain exercises and enquired when the pool would be available. We also enquired about their bathroom facilities, which according to Ettienne would be approx 2 weeks, seeing that we had to go directly to the office after training. The next few days we received various calls from Ettienne offering us special deals which got better by the hour. I eventually signed a contract for both of us and paid in advance for a period of 3 years. <br> When we visited the club after two weeks, no progress had been made on the bathroom facilities and the swimming pool and the squash courts had been converted to a spinning facility. So it carried on for weeks. After approx a month, we went to check on their progress and was told that the pool had been removed!<br> We then requested a refund, seeing that the facility which was her main reason for joining, was no longer available. After various calls we still have no response. <hr>]]>

      <title>Planet Fitness - Feedback / Response - They do whatever to get you to join their gym</title>

<![CDATA[i'm really getting impatient with these guys. they said that they were still investigating why my account was not handled properly on the billing and why i got the tag that was not working its almost a week now and never got any feedback from them. i really not impressed with their service its really disgusting. and another irritating thing about their billing errors is that on december they deduct twice without informing you even on the contract it doesn't state that. <hr>]]>

      <title>Planet Fitness - Breach of Contract - Contract cancelled within 5days</title>

<![CDATA[I joined Planet Fitness on the 04 April 2012 and was charged R6990. I paid R2000 on the same date and R4000 on the 12 April 2012. On the 13 April 2012, I called Planet Fitness to cancel my contract because of the misunderstanding that happened at home with my husband and they told me that I can not cancel. I went to their offices somewhere around the 17 18 April 2012 and told them that I called to cancel my contract. The lady who was assisting me just booked a cancellation for me without asking questions and offered to give the their token as the contract says, but the lady said I must just wait and she gave me reference number as 2886, and said the manager will call me. I stayed for 2 weeks then called them and the person who answered the phone said I must wait for a call from their sales manager. Today I received  a message that says my Planet Fitness gym contract is in arrears and I must contact the club to make payments arrangements. According to their contract given to me I have 5 business days to cancel the contract and be refunded in full for as long as I return what ever they've given me back, which I did &amp; they refused.  Please help Peter  <hr>]]>

      <title>Virgin Active South Africa - Cancellation Fee - paid too much</title>

<![CDATA[i have registered to Virgin Active Amanzintoti a few months back and paid R800.00 just to register. i was then paying a monthly premium of R191.00. Today i needed to cancel my contract. I called the call centre and specified my reason for cancellation only to be told that i will be paying a further R500.00 to just cancel. this is rediculous! i was never told i will be paying a fee to cancel the contract but was told by the call centre consultant its in the terms & condition which i never recieved because the consultant at the branch i applied put a wrong option for me on the contract and was going to amend it but never gave me the copy. this is a rip off. i have paid R1300.00 just to register and cancel. Im really dissapointed at knowing this at sucha a late stage<hr>]]>

      <title>Virgin Active South Africa - Very bad service - bad service</title>

<![CDATA[They over debited my account and after asking a few times for them to stop my contract, nothing happens and when i phoned in with the query on my account to ask when that money will be credited back into my account, all of them say the same that they will listen to the recordings of my previous calls and get back to me and they never do, i spoke to them again and now they eventualy put in the cancellation for my contract but now they want to deduct  and i refuse to pay a nother cent to virgin active, as i asked them last month already to stop my contract and they never did what i requested, and my contract ends end of May now they want me to pay for May after i requested my contract to be cancelled in april already. Now i say this is redicolous and refuse to accept that i need to be responsible for their mistakes just cause they choose to ignore their customers. This is the WORST SERVICE ever.....<hr>]]>

      <title>Yukon Day Spa - Bad Attitude - Unwilling to grant voucher &amp; put the phone down</title>

<![CDATA[I bought a half day spa experience via Groupon for the Yukon Day spa. When I came to booking the treatment (valued at R500, or R2580 according to them) none of the phone numbers work or are answered. Emails are not returned. I finally got someone on 079 525 8171. Once she found out I had a Groupon voucher she told me there was "not one booking left until the end of the year". I said I found that hard to believe and she put the phone down on me.<br> I am disgusted that when consumers try to support businesses who are obviously drumming up support via groupon, they are treated like this. Basically YUKON have made it impossible to book an appointment before the voucher expires. DISGUSTING. You dont deserve the business.<br> <br> <hr>]]>

      <title>Sports and Fitness Club - Billing / Accounts - Pathetic Service even worse accounting and Admin</title>

<![CDATA[We were requested by Nicci to provide their office with a letter confirming that we will not be renewing our gym contract so that debits can be stopped, we provided the letter to their office and had it signed by Tshidi @ their reception desk, but due to Nicci and Tshidi not doing their job properly we were debited for a months premium and an overdue amount, how is it that we can have an overdue amount when a debit runs off our account? Nicci is very rude and arrogant and doesnt seem to care that she is absolutely pathetic at her job. Should I not receive a response or a refund i will make sure that this institution get throughly investigated, i know for a fact that i am not the only one with this problem.<hr>]]>

      <title>Planet Fitness - Billing / Accounts - &quot;BULLIED&quot;/DOUBLE DEBIT ORDERS/FALSE PROMISES </title>

<![CDATA[<b>Initial Report</b><br>My sister and i got a call from Planet Fitness. They said that one of our friends had written our names down for possible interest in a gym membership. We were asked to go to the Centurion branch to meet with the "rep". He took us through the gym, then sat us down to discuss a "two week trial period". After briefly explaining he "bullied" us into taking out a 3 year contract!! He started with things about our health saying "you cant put a price on health" & "YOU HAVE TO GYM". I felt pressured and INSULTED when we said we cant afford it!! He would not let us take out the two week trial period, he INSISTED on a 3 year contract. It was R400 pp. Ever since then PF has been taking off WAY MORE than they should. Once they took off in total R1100!!!<br> Now when my sister and I actually have time for gym they say we not registered, SO WHY ARE WE PAYING??<br> We never got copies of our contracts and not even access cards to the gym!!<br> This is disgusting and unacceptable. Being harassed into taking out a 3 YEAR contract, then having ridiculous amounts taken out of our account is WRONG!! Pls sort this out!!! Unfortunately, when you signed and accepted your contract in October 2010 it was assumed that you were not only cognisant of what you were undertaking but also had to intention to use a gym membership and enjoy the benefits that keeping fit and training brings into one's life and lifestyle.  That being said we also understand that people can change their minds if they feel they can't afford the membership or if it is not the right decision for them which is why we allow for a 5 day cooling off period.<br />
<br />
However, as this complaint has only been posted 18 months into the contract there is unfortunately nothing much we can do about your initial sales experience.  Again, from this posting it is unclear which club told you that you were not registered as your membership is very active at the Hennopsview branch where a copy of your contract can also be obtained.  But another club e.g. Centurion Gate would not be able to pick up your contract information if they do not have a tag to read and your home club can only issue you with an access tag.<br />

We will ask the Hennopsview club to make contact for further resolve.<br />
