Bought a Samsung ES30 digital camera on 19/12/2010. Camera worked fine until 13/12/2011 when it suddenly did not want to switch on again. I checked the batteries etc, but could not manage to switch it on again. Took it back to store on 27/12/2011 [was closed on 25 and 26 public hollidays]. Was told by technical staff that although the camera was still in very good condition, it was out of warranty. I was told that they [Incredible Connection] will send it to Samsung for a repair quotation. Received the quotation today [31/01/2012] - repair cost R799.25 [JQT469058]??? Surely Incredible Connection should take condition of item etc in consideration for warranty claims? Camera was hardly used, and still in very good / mint condition! Also, we were on vacation when the camera actually failed to work. I was unable to take it back to the store at that specific time. I also tried to phone, but telephone number for The Grove branch is not listed in the telephone directory. I did phone the customer service line, but was kept on hold for hours without reaching an agent to lodge my problem. I'm currently very dissapointed with the product and service from Incredible Connection! |

Hello Pick, Please note that unfortunately once a manaufacturer's warranty period does expire, the supplier cannot repair the unit under warranty, irrespective of the condition of the equipment.
