On 19 December 2011 I bought a Sansui 7" Lifepad Tablet from the store, there was no mishaps whatsoever with payment. However, 3 days later 2 transactions appeared on my statement from the store, both for exactly the same amount like I've purchase 2 tablets separately and on the same day. I called Standard Bank and to make a long story short, they told me that they cannot help me and I must go to Incredible Connection to sort it out. I drove all the way back to Fourways early in January (I live quite far away, its about an hour's drive which wasted about half my Saturday) to try and get some answers. I asked the lady at the tills where I can be helped and she said that their phones are down so she can't phone management. She made a copy of my receipt, took my card transaction slip (! Why not make a copy of that too) and wrote down my details. She told me that their manager will call me during the week. I am still waiting for a call or any feedback whatsoever. This is effectively *****. I took ONE tablet, I willingly paid for ONE. I only have ONE till slip, because that's how many tablets I purchased. |

Hello NeoAcheron, After investigation it was confirmed that these 2 transactions were 2 different purchases at 2 different Incredible Connection stores. The first purchase you relate to in your message was for the tablet as per your complaint above. The transaction only went through once, as also confirmed with the financial institution. The other purchase was for an X-Box Kinect purchased from our Cresta branch on 18/12/2011 09:58 on receipt number CA002900186542 with the same credit card. Hope this resolves the confusion. Ah! That does explain a lot! On my bank statement it looks the same though and I though that the money was deducted on the 19th and not the 22nd. I wish the banks would clarify the transaction "Description" line as it means absolutely buggerall! I will take it up with them... I apologise for the inconvenience. |
